Drivdon kan även ha stöd för flera olika dimningstyper, sk “all-in-one”. De flesta drivdon med DALI dimning stödjer även switch-/push-dim.

Det finns tre olika huvudprinciper för drivning av LED armaturer, konstant ström, konstant spänning och konstant effekt. Alla varianterna finns i ej dimbara och dimbara utföranden. Vilken av dessa som skall användas bestäms av ljuskällans konstruktion.
